Feel like now is the time for some independent media? Always wondered how you can get your own television program seen by millions of New Yorkers? Want to see behind the scenes at a Public Access TV station?
Join us Thursday, November 21st at 6:45pm for a special presentation and tour at Brooklyn’s own, BRIC TV!
Each year, the New York Film/Video Council presents an annual program in honor of longtime member and former president, George Stoney, a leading figure in the creation of public access television.
This year, the NYFVC partners with BRIC TV, Brooklyn’s premier producer of community-made news, social justice, and entertainment programming, to present a special evening celebrating public access, featuring clips from its early history, a discussion of its future, and a special tour of BRIC TV‘s studio. There will also be a presentation by BronxNet, the Bronx's public access station.
Free for all.
